I don't know where this like double ordering story happened. I think the first two years of TSMC's existence were only two years in their entire history that they did turn net profit. At the time, you know, Fabis was really starting to hit his stride and it was just like sort of different small family companies coming in. They were like local companies asking for just like easy chips. UMC got their big win with the telecommunication deregulation in the US breakup of AT&T and UMC basically supplied chips with all these phone switching machines.
