How to Write a Story

I tend to get ideas by actually writing there's a great quote I like from a French writer Francois Sagan who wrote Bonjourt-Tries-Stèce and she said she writes in order to think. Often I don't actually know what I'm going to write but if I sat abstractly and thought about it with a pencil in my hands I probably wouldn't get there. It does sometimes make editing a little bit of a nightmare process because you often have got issues about timing and settings or all of that stuff.
