I feel like we're not in the George Floyd moment anymore. The cultural shift is very real, but that's not under the dominant political conflict. I know it to be true that most people are not complete lunatics. Most people are not obsessing over capitalizing to be in black. They find a lot of this stuff weird. That's exactly right. And that's the most important point too, because what people in universities always wanted was to keep it amongst themselves. This kind of rarefied place where they talked in this insane language and read these dumb books and ridiculous academic journals and read bell hooks out loud to their children.
