The perseverance rover landed on mars 15 months ago. It's ramping up its hunt to find evidence, potentially, of ancient life in the last past. Has it found it yet? I guess not. But what it is doing is its looking to collect some rock cars and specificaly looking ancient river delta in the jezero crater where it is situated. If they can look at an ancient river delta and have a atsome of the the rock there, they cound potentially look for the chemical signals, or your evidence of life.
