The Blind Man and the Elephant by John Godfrey Sax

An ancient parable relates the story of a king who gathers all the blind men of the city. He brings in an elephant and asks the men to approach it and to describe it. This parable was later converted to a poem in the nineteenth century by john godfrey sax. And i really enjoy the poem version. I believe the poem does a wonderful job of illustrating the moral of the original parable. They're not factual. And that's ok. Doesn't need to be factual to still be able to extract a truth from a story.
