Mulvaney is optimistic about the prospects of federal crypto and blockchain legislation this year. Despite everything one hears about political polarization in Washington, DC, especially in Congress, he explained some issues remain fairly bipartisan. He recalled conversations on the subject with then comptroller of the currency, Joseph Auding trying to figure out who should regulate digital assets.
