The Ethics of the Mean Between Extremes
In our tradition, the Greeks and the Hebrew world are the two that are sort of the most popular in orthodox circles. Let me just speak a moment about the contrast in the ethical ideas of these two traditions. The Greek tradition seems reasoned as the killer of a mild order. Through reasons you learn to live the good life. That's a different thing. Being good and the good life you can put down in your mind as radical culture. This is essentially and necessarily a progressive forward looking changing point of view.
