The Evolution of Chatbots
Shuman: It strikes me that when you and I meet in person, there's no experience with an AI that's remotely close to that one-on-one interaction. Is it the fact that human beings are increasingly becoming more like computers? He says chatbots have a truly natural language interface where they really respond in a way that you intend rather than what you've written. "Chat GPT immediately says they're using a construct from the Wizard of Oz," Shuman writes.
