We sang a lot of, like, american, old time, irish, british, even australian folk music. We did once a week where we got together after, you know, the evening meal and just sang. It created a kind of stock of yet common melodies and common things to that way when casion arose. They're also usually about, like, lost love, communal suffering and adventure.
