I do still think that we are a functioning democracy, and it will be possible for these laws to be interpreted reasonably by police forces. The idea that protest is going to has been sort of quietly made illegal seems quite far fetched to me. I mean, presumably this means you can be arrested for protesting against fracking in Yorkshire, even if you're doing it in Cornwall. And the idea that the serious disruption can be both physical and local, but it can also be through a wider transport or even information network. They mean they would be.
