Allie's parents had cleared out a patch among the trees and scrub of the mountain and fenced it in. She was forever pressed up against the lynx, trying to see what lay beyond her little patch of yard. One day she met a passing mother bear at the edge of her woods. How do you like living with the humans? Asked the mother bear, ignoring her cub. I get eggs in morning and some snacks in the afternoon, and even salmon at night. Do you get that? Allie said.
