How to Roll Over Your 401k After Separation

If your employer doesn't allow for early withdrawals after separation at 55, you have to wait until 59 and a half. You can take advantage of the rule of 55 if that's part of your strategy. Check with your employer as to whether they will actually accept a rollover from your ESOP into your 401k after you've separated service.
