David Gottlieb became the most vehement opponent of payouts and games. He stuck with traditional amusements, basically exclusively to pinball and pool tables because coin operated pool tables started becoming popular in the 50s. They didn't even get into novelty amusements, like shooting games or kitty rides or shuffle alleys. The feud between Gottlieb and Bally split the industry.
