The Importance of Balance in Life
We're constantly trying to stay in happiness and safety and pain free. But if we acknowledge that there's going to be times that it's not going to be like that, so when that shows up, we go, oh, okay, this does happen. And we stop trying to get back to pleasure as quickly as possible. So then is the idea when something perceived comes in that's negative, would it be helpful for the brain to go, yeah, this is a part of the whole experience of life? If you do it intellectually, you have to go in there and actually go in and balance these things out in your mind.
