The Different Types of Houses in London

In the high period, the classic development would be a new block is going to be opened up at the center. Then there's a pattern book of five or six types of house which are defined essentially by their ground floor plan and an elevation. And you could sort of see if you go around the squares, there's five or six that are sort of slightly shorter or slightly differently proportioned. The whole thing on the square would often be done to sort of semi-resemble a grand palace with a sort of central building. But then off that, that pretenses kind of gradually eroded until you're getting into little sort of side streets and back streets with gradually smaller but still very grand houses
