Oil Spill Response Theatre

Corporations push a narrative that what happened was not so bad. The last story we're told after an oil spill is that this is being cleaned up. And it's important to note that the data shows it doesn't fix it. None of the major oil spills do they ever get more than a quarter of the oil physically cleaned up out of the water. We can have a happy narrative, even though there's nothing happy here.
