We settle for a number of reasons, but mostly because of this insecurity or insecurities that we can't really have the things that we want. We allow fear to constantly drive us and cause us to settle in our relationships, our jobs and in ourselves. And I think everyone would agree that they probably would like more from their lives than what they currently have. But we can't have more in a lasting way whilst we are settling for less than we deserve and settling for a life that doesn't bring us those feelings,. Those feelings of joy and contentment and fulfilment. It's not about whether you've got good willpower or bad willpower - it's just your priorities.
