Movie Review - Lydia Tar
Lydia Tar does not fully engage with these ideas in the way that she's saying. I get the feeling throughout this movie there's a lot of stuff she says that she does not actually like put into practice in her life and is kind of a hit-back. Todd Field isn't just telling us what he thinks about art he's also deconstructing that character so I think ultimatelyUltimately I think it's something more interesting in the sense that I think he's he's presenting these ideas through the mouth of a problematic character to make us engage with them in a way that doesn't allow us to just take them in a very simplistic way.
