The Orhus Study Aimed to Find Out if There Are Differences Between Healthy People and People With Mental Illnesses

The Orhus study found that people with depression are more likely to have a slumped posture characterized by their heads leaning forward. They also overwhelmingly have reduced gate velocity, which is a really fancy way of saying they walk slower,. Their steps are shorter and they even stand for less time than healthy people too. But there's evidence suggesting that people with anxiety disorders have problems with their balance. This might be explained by the differences in types of anxiety diagnosed.
