The Turner Diaries

The Turner Diaries became the ideological underpinning of a vicious American insurgency. The book is essentially framed as a historical document, with researchers from Earl's future commenting on it. Although the novel's epilogue broadly hints at a Nazi orientation, the book never explicitly identifies the order with a specific movement. It also inspired a whole new genre of terrible right-wing fiction.
