Taking Your Significant Other Out on a Business Function?
People are free to talk themselves into just about anything, or rationalize just about anything. What involves integrity is following whatever the rule is. I can make a perfectly good case that there's a lot of benefit to bringing along your partner to a business tener. But i think it'll be perfectly fine to have a rule that says, when you're taking your significant other out on a business function, you must reimburse the company for that significant other's meal.
