How to Make a Good Concert Film
D.A. Panabaker's David Bowie movie, Ziggy Stardust on The Spiders from Mars, that concert film, it's shot really badly. And yet, I mean, it's so much better than shine a light, which is shot perfectly. What makes a good concert film? Is it like feeling that you're present there and how you achieve that? Or is it creating a kind of cutting pattern that makes it consistent and you don't get bored watching it? Well, I think all of that is important. A lot depends on the concert itself.
