The Differences Between a Cohort Study and a Randomized Controlled Trial

In RCTs, the exposure is randomly assigned by the investigator. The assignment of exposure in a random fashion prevents or reduces something called confounding and selection bias. And also the blinding that Andrea just described helps prevent selection bias and information bias. But I just want to note that we can't always control for everything because we can only control for things that we have data for.
