The Light of the Moon and the Saints
St. Anthony of Padua said, the saints are like the stars. In his province Christ conceals them in a hidden place that they may not shine before others when they might wish to do so. So here he's playing on the shift from night to day when stars shine or when they're hidden. The way that grace works on our life, sometimes making things clear and sometimes hiding things in a certain obscurity. It's just a direct analogy between the saints and the stars.
