The Canon of Just Photographers
All other photographers that tend to get ridden about am are white photographers, and is a relatively small number. This is an extraordinary situation, because over the last 30 or forty years, just scholarship has moved in exactly the opposite direction. So if i make a claim for the book, i think it is that is h first n really to challenge that colonization of white, just photographers and to bring into focus the work of a wide range of other photographers.
