The Sacrament of Marriage Is a Sign of a Sacred Thing
Father Gregor: Of the seven sacraments, marriage is the only one that anti-dates our Lord because it's a natural institution before it's raised to the dignity of a sacrament. He says St. Francis' advice for married couples presumes upon this freedom to pursue Christ together so as to chase after Christ. Father Gregor: In many ways, people in the world seem to be the audience for what St. Francis is trying to propose throughout the book.
