Introduction
"I foolishly said, yeah, go on then," when someone suggested setting up an Ubuntu Mastodon instance. "This was the start of the downfall because I didn't really plan it very well and ran it for a while on a Linode box." Now there are more people on Mastodon, but that's countered by the fact that I have intentionally constrained how many users are on this instance. And so the balance of those two things is there's fewer users, even though it's more popular, I've got fewer users.
