Are We Doing More Jobs Than People Looking for Jobs?
I think there was a really good conversation. Certainly we were having it, which was about relying less on immigrant labour and doing more British-born people. But the point is that at some point, and we can argue about whether it's now or not, that job has been done. We just go back to the fundamental mismatch between there are more jobs than there are people looking for jobs. And they're scaling back their growth plans. They can't operate normally. Physically, they're saying, I'm having to close down part of the business ... My profitability is impacted"
