Shankarajaya was a disciple of Swami Saradhananda, and he has been blessed by meeting six of the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna. So wherever he gets an opportunity, he gently pushes for monasticism. At the age of nearly 100, he would sleep without a pillow or a bed, just on a hard wooden bench. He had this apparent running battle with the rat. That would take up his dentures and he would get it back from that rat.
