The Importance of Hearing Aids for Hearing Loss
Hearing aids are a lot cheaper because they're deep prescribed so they're like half the cost they used to be. So I think this is one thing that I'm very hyper aware of now if a patient is having some mild hearing loss, bringing this into the equation could help prevent cognitive decline. That was an observational cohort, but over about 3,000 people that demonstrated a 29% decrease in dementia when cataract surgery was performed.
