Are Day Dreams Distractions?

A straight thought is a thought that's not part of the main focus of what it is you're doing. But our stray thoughts are kind of distractors, right? Oh, they're all distractions. Day dreams are distractions, and so are stray thoughts. And we can have like, visual distractions, auditary distractions. So i just assume thati they look cool because they don't seem to do anything different from normal ped sets, for example. I spend a lot of money on my ear buts. Why? Because it looks cooler than having earforms with wires connected to them.
