Cumulonimbus is a type of cumulus cloud that forms when the atmosphere becomes more unstable. It's like a little puff in the sky but it can grow and grow and build into one of these storm clouds. The reason is because each droplet releases a tiny bit of heat latent heat which gives them buoyancy.
