i think what you're describing is the kind of dark shadow of idolatry, which is demonization. And so this, we get whip sawed between idle i idolization and demonization. We are kind of looking to these external forces to actually do something for us that they cannot do. They're just images. If we try to make them either to be, at a deep existential level, our saviour or the or our satan, we've kind of, we've inflated them in wrong light. It's very seductive.
