Engaging Great Legal Minds in the Conversation About Innovation

I'm curious what is the key in making a transition from a great idea to fruition. What are some of the ways that people in roles, not even just legal, but other sort of systems and infrastructure roles have been able to play a part? And how do we cope when interest dies out on an idea? I honestly think just the ability to continue to champion on even where there's sometimes it's not even pushback can be helpful.
