The right brothers invented the airplane in a more original sense than most inventors create things. They came along at an important time when flight research was trying to be taken seriously. Had they come along ten or 15 years earlier, i am not so sure they would have accomplished what theyad accomplished. If god intended us to fly, he would have given us wings, mentality. But you had serious engineers like octave chinut and otto lillianthall who were influential for them.
