What's Changed in the Private Equity Landscape?
The public markets got more and more efficient, so efficient that the smartest hedge funds in the world can't beat a passive investor. Data is become more more readily available, transparent. Nobody has te data other people don't have. And all the deals go to auction, but they're bidding on the same deals. The value chain is under a lot of stress because the six, eight % of cost in that chain is getting harder and harder t justify as the markets become more and moreefficient.
