The Future of the Microsoft Activision Deal
If the deal doesn't go ahead, Microsoft has to pay Activision only up to $3 billion in what's called a breakup fee. With a deal like this, if the different regulators don't pass it, it gets extremely messy because you have to change the structure of the company potentially. Politically this is a hot issue, a sensitive issue for the government. Rishi Sunak has made big promises about making the UK one of the most tech friendly places on the planet.
