Barry Smith is an internationally regarded expert on wine. He approaches a 75p can of Fizzy Pop just exactly the same as he would, a bottle of vintage Bordeaux. carbonation and coldness are what make it possible for you to ingest more sugar than your system would take. The bubbles hurt my tongue. This is a version of wasabi or umami. It's not a spice, but it's doing the same thing. If you pour out some of that soda into glass and you leave it to be at room temperature and to go flat, it's unpalatable. You think, oh, that's disgusting I can't have that.
