Ray Christie's Encounter With Harold Christie
Ray Vener-Gren meets with Harold Christie, the governor of New Jersey. He asks why he didn't immediately call the police when he found Harry Oakes' body. Freddy de Mettigny is indeed a verified French count and his divorce papers from his previous marriage were filed before he got together with Nancy. But there are plenty of half-truths to confuse an already murky story.
