The Origins of Intelligent Design in Biology

What we see as design is simply the result of natural selection with no purpose other than survival and reproduction. The elimination of purpose from biology is a key tenet in modern biological philosophy. There's also a view that these complex designs could not have resulted from blind random chance and were deliberately designed by an unknown intelligent agent. And very similar to that, but going a little further, is the idea of a divine being. This is my own idea. They are indicative of a divine agent, God, who used evolution as one of his tools for creation to some extent. So let's go into this in a little bit more detail.
