The Dissonance of Being a Latino in the States
As a Latino in the States, my interests were very different from those of my peers. Growing up on hip hop and seeing like aspects and qualities in the people that I looked up to like Lube Fiasco who paints whole stories with words. And then having a really strong authoritative mom, uh-huh, you know what I mean? No dad. So it's like I became a feminine because that's what I saw as strength.
