i think a lot of the conversation about cultural appropriation misses out on some of the key parts of it. Colonization was not something that happened a long time ago and now we're past it. Native spiritual practices were prohibited by law until 19 78. And so to see those things in stores or oliver etse, or whatever it is, completely ignores that history. There are certain things that we should be able to have the power to say that's just for folks within the community.
