Danny's ex-wife left him because he was reaping his stepdaughter Melanie. Allegations that Danny owed a bunch of drug dealers a ton of money, and the theory was that they all pitched in to put a hit out on Danny. The police decided to follow that lead of Melanie. They sat down with Melanie and they asked her a ton of questions about her stepdad's death.
