Positive and Negative Liberty
There's another very famous lecture about two ways of thinking about liberty. It was a lecture from 19 58 by the then oxford based philosopher isaiah berlin. He mad what is now a more famous distinction, between positive and negative liberty. An negative liberty means being free from coercion or constraint. And he says pretty much all conceptions of freedom come down on one or other line.
