How to Manage Ebb and Flow of Portfolio Company Needs

It's a good idea to be, now, you're always going to have specialists no matter what. Some firms have diligence teams and then post close ops teams that are different. I don't like it because it's easy to be the guys that go, oh, I would fix that. It's easy to write negative stuff. If you're going to write an evaluation of something, the evaluation should be how you'd fix that. And prescribing how to fix something and having somebody else fix it is also not a good thing.
