The Risk of Atrial Esophageal Fistula After Ablation

The way I try to prevent any fistula is to use very short duration burns in the posterior wall. The third issue I want to talk about with this study is risk. Yes, on an individual basis for patients the risk of dying or being rendered severely neurologically impaired is very low. But it's not zero and it does not appear that being experienced or using temperature probes alters the risk very much.
