The Effects of Microsoft Word on the Programming Experience

I wonder though, what downstream effects it will have on the experience, the programming experience. Maybe we're like two abstraction heavy, two Java class heavy, because we need to coordinate across thousands of programmers. Like Microsoft Word is like millions and millions of lines of code means that like regular people can't build a competitor to it. And maybe it may be like a more lean decentralized like software creators would not need that set of firepower, they need different languages.
