I've noticed every time i write a script that has an Asian woman in it and then we like read the script in a workshop or something everyone assumes that i'm the actress. There's something weird about that that i can't quite put my finger on and i don't know how to articulate it or like analyze what it means but it's also because especially an indie film there are a lot of hyphenates like writer producers or like writer actors actor producers so it's very common. I think pretty much all Asian cast for my other films so usually it involves like an Asian woman just because i write about it from the perspective of a woman. Some of them just want to like
