The Role of Pathology Response in Survival Outcomes
Only about 20% of patients achieved a pathologic CR. For the other 80%, getting to a small fraction of residual viable cancer is a better outcome than having most or all of the sarcoma remain viable after neoadjuent therapy. In this study, we believe complete pathology response is key. If you see any tumor cells in the receptive specimen after new adjumus therapy, that is not considered complete response.
