Type one diobetes causes no insulen, hypoglytemia and lots of sugar in the blood. Compare that to type two which has a much stronger genetic link. Adapasites cause an excessive amount of adaposites lead to insolent resistance - particularly if it is distributed more around the abdominal region. A person with a high degree of distribution of fat in their body has a much higher risk of developing type too then someone who doesn't have that.
